XLPrint USA wishes to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) who is keen to succeed in a successful software company.
The BDM will work independently but be supported by a local team in California and also a direct line into the CEO, who is based in Australia. XLPrint Software has been providing document software and services since 1986 and has thousands of customers across the globe. XLPrint solutions are used to increase efficiency and impact of billions of transactional documents across multiple verticals. With the recent release of a new SaaS/API offering for outsourced document delivery, there are endless opportunities for this new solution.
XLPrint is a well established company with pre-sales and support personnel, leadership, and systems and processes already in place. XLPrint are looking for a self-starting, positive, energetic person who enjoys creative selling and cold outreach to prospective clients and partners.
The Role:
• Responsible for developing new partnerships with potential Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s) across North America.
• After initial product training, find and prospect potential ISV’s to integrate XLPrint’s new solution into their offerings.
• Outbound demand-gen is a key function of this role, including cold-calling, email outreach, social, event attendance, and marketing to help identify potential partners (prospect lists and contacts will be available, as well as any other platforms necessary to perform the role successfully).
• Provide basic product demonstrations - delivered primarily via MS Teams
• Follow all company processes and complete all associated administrative duties, including updating XLPrint internal systems (e.g. CRM).
• Interface with local and international teams working in different time zones.
• Liaise with the product development team on enhancements and further opportunities.
• Any other activities to support the achievement of objectives set out by the management team.
• This role is home-based and largely self-managed. Standard hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday EST, although flexibility is required to communicate with West Coast, as well as other time zones, such as Australia. There may be a requirement to travel to customer sites, events and meetings.
• Performance will be measured against objectives that will be mutually agreed and reviewed bi-annually.
KeySkills Required:
• Essential: senior/executive-level selling experience in the software and/or the print and mail industry
• Essential: Good problem-solving and strong communication. Ability to think outside the box
• Essential: the ability to work freely and uninterrupted in a home-based position
• Essential: demonstrated experience in building a pipeline from scratch
• Preferred: experience working with software applications vendors such as ERP, CRM, Business Process, Workflow solutions
• Preferred: experience working for, or with, print service providers
